avvertivamo la necessità di imbracciare le chitarre per cercare di colmare il debito enorme che sentivamo nei confronti di Joe. L' unica cosa cosa che potevamo fare è stato questo tributo ad una grande Band…".
L' idea dei Controllo Totale, nasce a fine anni 90 con il nome iniziale Rude Waltz col quale abbiamo fatto le prime esibizioni tributo ai Clash.
La formazione originaria era determinata, come ora, a omaggiare la band che, per canzoni, attitudine, impegno sociale, presenza scenica, e secondo noi, sincerità artistica, aveva entusiasmato noi e tanti altri ragazzi tra gli anni 70 e 80. Attraverso varie modifiche di formazione abbiamo continuato a suonare in giro per l' Italia fino ad oggi, prendendo forza e incoraggiamento in ogni singolo concerto e da chi ci ha visto. Non avremmo potuto offrire un tributo se non a The Clash.
L' attuale formazione e' composta da Guido, Alberto, Fabrizio, Marcello e Fabrizio.
Il nome Controllo Totale nasce in riferimento ad una grande canzone ma significa anche che abbiamo sempre cercato di suonare in posti in cui credevamo, e senza sottostare a inutili compromessi. Pensiamo di dare, con molta umiltà, ma anche con orgoglio, una discreta idea del gruppo che amiamo. Ci crediamo.
Nessuno ci ha mai detto di smettere.
Anche noi, come i Clash, siamo anti-fascisti, contro la violenza, siamo anti razzisti e per la creatività. Noi siamo contro l' ignoranza.
Sono belle sensazioni. Joe Strummer vive.
Viva il rock'n'roll.

For some time...
now we had felt the need to pick up our guitars and try to repay the enormous debt we felt we owed to Joe. The only thing we could do was pay tribute to a great band...'.
The idea for Controllo Totale was born in the late 1990s under the initial name Rude Waltz, with which we performed our first tribute shows to The Clash.
The original line-up was determined, as it is now, to pay homage to the band that, through its songs, attitude, social commitment, stage presence and, in our opinion, artistic sincerity, had thrilled us and many other young people in the 1970s and 1980s. Through various line-up changes, we have continued to play around Italy to this day, gaining strength and encouragement from every single concert and from those who have seen us. We could not have offered a tribute to anyone other than The Clash.
The current line-up consists of Guido, Alberto, Fabrizio, Marcello, and Fabrizio.
The name Controllo Totale (Total Control) refers to a great song, but it also means that we have always tried to play in places we believed in, without making unnecessary compromises. We think we give, with great humility but also with pride, a decent idea of the band we love. We believe in it.
No one has ever told us to stop.
Like The Clash, we are anti-fascist, against violence, anti-racist and pro-creativity. We are against ignorance.
These are wonderful feelings. Joe Strummer lives on. Long live Rock’n'Roll
